Our environmental commitment

We're focused on reducing our environmental impact through two key areas: mitigating greenhouse gas emissions while managing energy use more efficiently, and optimising water consumption across our operations. To drive meaningful change, we've set ambitious targets including a 25% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 from our 2020 baseline. We're also enhancing our water monitoring systems and implementing targeted strategies to mitigate risks at facilities located in water-stressed regions.

Advancing our carbon footprint management 

Since 2021, we've enhanced our Scope 3 emissions tracking, achieving significant reductions in Purchased Goods & Services by 2024 while expanding coverage to include inhaler propellants, cold-chain refrigeration, and packaging waste. We're engaging suppliers representing over 55% of our Scope 3 footprint and have more than doubled our solar energy capacity from 2,000 MWh to 5,000 MWh annually.

Water and waste management

Water management and waste reduction are key focuses in the MENA region due to water scarcity challenges. Our efforts include identifying efficiency opportunities and setting targets by 2025, alongside improving waste data and reducing environmental impacts.
