1. What is your name, role and location

My name is Hiba Kamal, and I work as a Principal Scientist in the Clinical Research Department based in Amman, Jordan. 

2. Could you tell us about your day-to-day activities?

In my role, I manage clinical studies in patients and bioequivalence (BE) studies. My day-to-day work involves overseeing study design, planning and execution, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, reviewing clinical data, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure studies are delivered with high quality and within established timelines.

In addition, I support other departments in clinical-related activities, providing scientific and operational input to ensure alignment with clinical strategy and regulatory expectations. A cornerstone of my work is generating clinical evidence that directly supports the safe and effective use of our medicines.

3. What are the key challenges and opportunities in your role? 

The dynamic nature of clinical research keeps the role both challenging and engaging. 

Clinical research is inherently unique and rigorous.  One of the most meaningful aspects of this role is its patient focus, and the opportunity to see how research can contribute to improved outcomes. This connection to patients makes the work particularly impactful and rewarding, reinforcing the importance of maintaining high standards and quality in everything we do.
