Position on Animal Testing
When required by regulatory authorities to conduct animal testing as part of drug development, we only outsource to partners with the highest ethical standards.
When it is necessary to use animals in the development or production of medicinal products, we are committed to their humane and ethical treatment. More specifically, our commitment to humane animal testing and enhanced welfare is guided by the principle of the three Rs:
1. Replacement
Using methods which avoid or replace the use of animals in research.
2. Reduction
Using methods that deliver comparable levels of information from fewer animals or to obtain more information from the same number of animals
3. Refinement
Using methods that alleviate or minimise potential pain, suffering or distress, and enhance animal welfare.
