A genuine commitment to people
Our company was founded on our dedication to helping transform people's lives by providing the medicine and support they need every day. We feel a real duty of care towards everyone with whom we come into contact – the people who use our medicines, our customers, suppliers, employees and the wider community.
Our customers and suppliers know this, and it gives them the confidence to collaborate with us in helping to put better health within everyone's reach.
And our dedication to our communities sees us working to improve medical awareness, health standards, and access to medical care, everywhere we operate around the world.
Case Study: Corporate governance 2017
We were pleased to achieve the highest ranking of any pharmaceutical company in the Institute of Directors' (IoD) 2017 Good Governance Report, coming 17th overall of the largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Good corporate governance reflects the framework of rules and practices by which a Board of Directors ensures accountability, fairness, and transparency in a company's relationship with its stakeholders.
The factors used to compile the report's rankings included auditing and risk, board diversity, directors’ compensation, CR/sustainability committee and whistleblowing policy.
It is a privilege to receive the recognition from the IoD, as a reflection of our deep commitment to all our stakeholders.
